Marines and Sailors aboard USS Boxer walk across the flight deck conducting a Foreign Object Debris walk-down. Service members do this to clear the deck of any debris that could cause damage to aircraft or machinery during flight operations. The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Boxer Amphibious Ready Group are currently on a deployment in support of regional and Maritime Security Operations.
