To many, the cost of comfort comes at a high price. On the other hand, some may not even know what comfort is. Comfort is taken for granted more often than not. One little boy was granted his own piece of comfort when Soldiers of the 58th Combat Effects Company delivered a wheelchair to an Iraqi child who was born partially blind, deaf, as well as paralyzed from the neck down.

Mohammad Taies, eight, from Zallaya, Iraq three kilometers outside of Tikrit, was born with an unknown illness, said Sheik Hatem through a translator.

"Mohammad is very unfortunate," said Hatem. "He was tested several times and the doctors could not give a diagnosis. His father does what he can to comfort him."
Mohammad's father placed him into his new wheelchair.

"We can only pray, that somewhere, inside, he is happy," said Hatem.
Soldiers of the 58th Combat Effects Company work with the villagers of Zallaya because of their route-clearing missions.

"We came through this village several weeks ago on a mission," said Staff Sgt. Dimetrias Magruder, operations supervisor assigned to the 58th Combat Effects Company. "The more we help them, the more they appreciate us."

"Sometimes we need to stop and think, not every Iraqi is a terrorist," said 1st Lt. Jeffery Velazquez, the platoon leader for second platoon in the 58th Combat Effects Company.
Velazquez said that the local Sheik talked to him about Mohammed on the previous mission seeking help. With the help of his commander, Velazquez worked out the details for Mohammed to receive a wheelchair courtesy of a non-governmental organization.

"It may not be much, but this small token will mean a lot to them," said Velazquez. "We try to help when we can."

The Soldiers of the 58th Combat Effects Company take their job very seriously. The majority of the soldiers said it felt good giving Mohammad. Some of the Soldiers stated it that they felt it was necessary to give back to the Iraqi people.

So, what is the cost of comfort? To many, the cost of comfort may come at a high price. But to some, comfort may come in
