KABUL, Afghanistan - Afghan and coalition forces detained four suspected militants in Khost overnight, June 3, during an operation to capture a key Haqqani network facilitator in eastern Afghanistan.

In Sabari District, Khost province, a combined force searched a compound in a rural area after credible intelligence sources indicated the wanted militant was located near Zambar village. After entering the targeted compound, Afghan forces called for all occupants to exit the buildings. Without incident, forces detained the targeted individual and three
other men suspected to be his associates.

A search of the compound revealed an AK-47 assault rifle and a magazine.

There were no Afghan, coalition forces or non-combatants casualties reported during this operation.
