    Insurgent suicide attack causes civilian casualties in Helmand Province

    KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — At least two Afghan civilians were killed and several International Security Assistance Force personnel and Afghan civilians were injured when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive vest near the entrance to Camp Bastion today.

    The injured civilians and ISAF personnel were treated at medical facilities in Camp Bastion, located in Greshk District.

    Initial reports indicate that the suicide bomber walked up to a crowd of civilian truck drivers, many of whom are locally hired, and detonated his explosives. The number of civilians killed and wounded is not confirmed as the investigation continues.
