Petty Officer 2nd Class Adolfo Valdez, native of San Diego, Calif., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, Headquarters Company, and Spc. Joel Quintanilla, native of San Antonio, Texas assigned to the 655th Concrete Team, 19th Engineer Battalion, establish benchmarks using resection from two known points. Valdez and his team are conducting a topographical survey at the Camp Leatherneck expansion site, which will provide the battalion with an accurate representation of the lay of the land.
