Petty Officer 2nd Class Adolfo Valdez, native of San Diego, Calif., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, Headquarters Company, inputs the elevations on a Trimble S-6 robotic surveying instrument. Valdez and his team are conducting a topographical survey at the Camp Leatherneck expansion site, which will provide the battalion with an accurate representation of the lay of the land.
