Rct. Tim Noble, a 22-year-old native of Tampa, Fla., is currently training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., in hopes of earning the title of United States Marine. Noble is training with Platoon 2066, Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Sept. 5, 2014. “I want to have a sense of purpose,” said Noble, a graduate of Sunlake High School in Land O’Lakes, Fla. “I want to serve my country and better my life.” Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
