KABUL, Afghanistan - Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., commander International Security Assistance Force, met with President Karzai to discuss the security concerns of the citizens of Wardak province and the progress of the campaign.
The commander used the opportunity to reaffirm the coalition's commitment to protecting the safety and ensuring the security of Afghan citizens.
During the meeting, the leaders agreed to work together to address the concerns of the people of Wardak province. Senior coalition officials will meet with Wardak leaders to discuss the circumstances surrounding these allegations.
