RIFFA, Bahrain - An Army explosive ordnance disposal Soldier led the U.S. Armed Forces Golf Team to victory during the 8th World Military Golf Championship here Nov. 21.
Spc. Jordan-Tyler Massey from the 752nd EOD Company played on the Armed Forces Team against 14 different countries during the Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) tournament in Bahrain Nov. 13-21.
Massey also won a Silver Medal among the individual golfers with a score of 291.
A native of Panama City, Florida, Massey made the team by leading the All Army Golf Team to victory during the U.S. military tournament in San Antonio, Texas.
Massey is assigned to Fort Hood, Texas-based 752nd EOD Company, 79th EOD Battalion, 71st EOD Group, 20th CBRNE Command (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives).
Headquartered on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, 20th CBRNE Soldiers and civilians serve on 19 posts in 16 states and eliminate CBRNE threats around the world.
"Spc. Massey was the youngest and lowest ranking individual in the entire tournament, only making this accomplishment more impressive," said 752nd EOD Company 1st Sgt. Scott R. Cornelison.
Massey will compete in the military games in South Korea next October.
