FORT HOOD, Texas - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who was found unresponsive Feb. 4 in his vehicle at one of the training areas here.
Spc. Casey Andrew Chapman, 20, whose home of record is listed as Augusta, Maine, entered active-duty service in January 2013 as a artillery mechanic. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since September 2014.
Chapman's awards and decorations include four Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Medal.
Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.
