Ribbon Cut to Usher in Newly Renovated 25th DIVARTY Headquarters

Since 2019, the DIVARTY has occupied a temporary office space while waiting for renovations to be completed. They have returned to a fully modernized facility, complete with multiple state-of-the-art conference rooms, an IaaDS (Installation as a docking station) system, ample office areas and an open floor “cubicle farm” creating collaborative working environment.

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii - Today marked a new beginning for the 25th Infantry Division Artillery (DIVARTY), with a ribbon cutting ceremony taking place at their newly renovated headquarters building. Since 2019, the DIVARTY has occupied a temporary office space while waiting for renovations to be completed. They have returned to a fully modernized facility, complete with multiple state-of-the-art conference rooms, an Installation as a Docking Station (IaaDS) system, ample office areas, and an open floor “cubicle farm” creating collaborative working environment.

U.S. Army Col. Joseph A. Katz, the DIVARTY commander, led the ribbon cutting ceremony, expressing gratitude to the Division Headquarters for their support in the process of renovation and thanking the many individuals who made the project a success. Rev. Kenneth Makuakāne led the attendees of the ceremony in prayer and blessed the building, asking for a prosperous future in both English and Hawaiian. Once remarks were complete, Katz was joined by Maj. Gen. Joseph A. Ryan, Command Sgt. Maj. Robert M. Haynie, and Command Sgt. Maj. Kevin M. Vanliew for the cutting of the ribbon. To the climatic snare drum sounds of the 25th Infantry Division’s Band, the ribbon was cut, and attendees entered the new headquarters for a guided tour.

As the attendees stepped inside, they were immediately greeted by the sleek and sophisticated ambiance of the reception area. The modernization efforts were evident in every detail, from the minimalist yet elegant furniture to the strategically placed ambient lighting that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Throughout the tour, it was evident that the modernization efforts were not just about aesthetics and technology; they were a reflection of the organization's commitment to innovation, efficiency, and Soldier well-being. The attendees were especially impressed by the new barracks rooms which have been allotted to the DIVARTY Soldiers, complete with a full kitchen featuring a range stove, refrigerator and microwave, a communal area for lounging, a full bathroom, and two well-sized private bedrooms.

Moving forward, the new DIVARTY headquarters will serve as a hub for artillery innovation and will enable personnel to pave the way forward for fires integration for the 25th Infantry Division. The modern style of its renovations will also serve as an example to the Schofield Barracks Community of what the future will hold for the workspaces of their respective organizations, and the living quarters of their soldiers.
