CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s senior enlisted advisor is ensuring U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys Soldiers and their families have what they need to remain mission ready and “Fight, Tonight.”
During his visit to Humphreys on Sept. 19, Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Osby toured Exchange facilities and met with Garrison Commander Col. Ryan Workman and Command Sgt. Maj. Monty Drummond to discuss how the Department of Defense retailer can improve the quality of life for the community.
“The Exchange is all in to make Humphreys a great place to work and live,” said Osby, who is one of approximately 30 active-duty service members assigned to the Exchange. “We’re committed to expanding and improving our services and options to best serve the community.”
Recent improvements included adding a Bath & Body Works store in November 2022, while also updating three barbershops and opening "Gravity Coffee" inside of the U.S. Forces Korea headquarters building. The USAG Humphreys Exchange plans to add Panda Express to its concession food portfolio early next year.
Humphreys Exchange has the only dental office that provides services for family members, civilians and retirees outside the United States and it is the only private, Joint Commission accredited, dental clinic in Korea. Additionally, the Exchange also delivers a taste home through its bakery at Humphreys. The bakery produces goods from American name brands such Wonder Bread and Krispy Kreme, as well as bread, buns, cakes, chips, tortillas and more for Exchange main stores, restaurants, Expresses, commissaries, Department of Defense Education Activity schools, dining facilities and other DoD entities. The bakery, along with a new distribution center, opened in 2021.
Every time service members shop their Exchange—whether in person or at ShopMyExchange.com—they are strengthening their community, said Osby. One hundred percent of Exchange earnings are reinvested in the military community through funding for critical quality-of-life programs, as well as capital improvements. In the last 10 years, the Exchange worldwide has contributed $3.5 billion in earnings for quality-of-life programs.
“It matters where you shop,” Osby said. “Small changes can make a big difference in a community. The Exchange is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our heroes.”
