KABUL, Afghanistan - Three Afghan civilians were killed in an improvised explosive device blast in southern Afghanistan, Aug. 25.
The three people stepped on the bomb in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of these innocent civilians," said U.S. Army said U.S. Army Col. Rafael Torres, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command Combined Joint Operations Center director. "We won't rest until we rid this country of the insurgents, ensuring Afghans can live in peace."
