KABUL, Afghanistan - Coalition forces destroyed an insurgent compound believed to contain more than 1,200 kilograms of home-made explosives in the Arghandab District of Kandahar province Saturday.
A coalition aircraft conducted a precision air strike on the compound. Coalition forces estimate more than 50 improvised explosive devices could have been made with the amount of explosives destroyed.
Initial operational reporting states there were no civilian casualties.
