KABUL, Afghanistan - Polish and U.S. soldiers from the Ghazni Provincial Reconstruction Team delivered school supplies and furniture to the Touheed Abud School, Oct. 13.
The school was in need of supplies and repair after hit by an insurgent rocket in May. The donated school supplies and scientific materials were collected during a school drive in Poland.
Commander's emergency response program funds were also used to help repair the damage to the school.
"Our school, office and headmaster want to thank the PRT," said Hossiny, English-Pashtu teacher. "We want to thank the PRT for being our neighbors. They always tell the school and the people here 'We're located behind the school and will always support the school in every situation.'"
The coordination and partnership between the local population of Ghazni province and members of the PRT continue to increase, building bonds of friendship and trust within the community, according to school and PRT officials.
