KABUL, Afghanistan – The International Security Assistance Force confirmed a precision air strike in Khost province Thursday killed Qari Naseb Khan, a Haqqani Network senior leader who directed attacks against Afghan and coalition forces, facilitated weapons, and reported directly to Haqqani Network senior leadership.
He had also established enemy positions in order to target coalition aircraft.
Based on intelligence reports, coalition forces tracked Qari Naseb Khan to a remote area in Nadr Shah Kot district. After verifying insurgent activity and ensuring no civilians were present, coalition forces conducted the precision air strike, killing him.
