KABUL, Afghanistan – Several insurgents were killed after attacking a coalition forces patrol in Reg-e Khan Neshin district, Helmand province, March 14.
While conducting a dismounted patrol coalition forces came under attack with small arms fire by several insurgents. After positively identifying the threat, the patrol engaged and killed several insurgents.
There were no damages or friendly casualties reported

South
Afghan and coalition forces conducting a mounted patrol discovered a weapons cache in Nahr-e Saraj district, Helmand province, March 14. The cache consisted of five 150 mm shells linked to a pressure plate, one 152 mm high explosive round, one 122 mm high explosive round and two 107mm rockets.
East
Combined Afghan and coalition forces patrol discovered a weapons cache in Tagab district, Kapisa province, March 14. The cache consisted of 103 9 mm rounds, 30 hand grenades, one bayonet, 257 7.62 mm rounds, two combat jackets and various hand guns of different type.
In Musahi district, Kabul province Afghan and coalition forces discovered a weapons cache today consisting of 100 rocket propelled grenades.
All weapons, have been or will be destroy by the security forces.
