KABUL, Afghanistan – An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan Aug. 11.
In a separate incident, an International Security Assistance Force service member died following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan Aug. 11.
It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
