KABUL, Afghanistan – A combined Afghan and coalition security force killed multiple insurgents and detained several suspected insurgents during an operation in Khas Uruzgan District, Uruzgan province, Friday.
The insurgents were responsible for the production of improvised explosive devices used in attacks against Afghan and coalition forces. The detained insurgents were transported from the scene by Afghan forces for further questioning.
The patrol also seized and safely destroyed a quantity of small arms.

In Kandahar city, Kandahar province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained multiple suspected insurgents while searching for a Taliban facilitator yesterday. The facilitator moves ammunition and money for insurgents in a local Taliban network and continues to monitor Afghan National Security Force operations in the area.

A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained several suspected insurgents while searching for a Taliban leader in Ghazni District, Ghazni province, Friday. The leader directs tactical operations, surveillance and reconnaissance against Afghan National Security Forces.
