KABUL, Afghanistan — A combined Afghan and coalition security force captured a Taliban facilitator and numerous associates during an operation in Imam Sahib District, Kunduz province, yesterday.
The facilitator was a senior roadside bomb expert who was directly responsible for constructing bombs for attacks in the district. He supported both the Taliban and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.

The leader is responsible for coordinating attacks against local security members in the region. He is also involved in the transportation of roadside bombs, rockets and suicide bombers.
Also in Khost province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained multiple insurgents during a search for a Haqqani network leader in Terayzai District, yesterday. The leader is responsible for coordinating attacks against local security members in the region.
A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained multiple suspected insurgents while searching for a Taliban leader in Waghaz District, Ghazni province, yesterday. The leader is responsible for managing a large network of fighters and directing attacks against Afghan security forces.
In Tagab District, Kapisa province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained one suspected insurgent while searching for a Taliban leader, yesterday. The leader is involved in organizing small arms, ambush and suicide bomb attacks against coalition security forces in the region.
Finally, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained numerous suspected insurgents while searching for a Taliban leader in Charkh District, Logar province, yesterday. The leader is responsible for planning attacks against coalition security forces in the district.
