CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE DELTA, Iraq – The soldiers of 6th ‘Saber’ Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, were given the opportunity to re-enlist the week of Oct. 3, 2011 on Contingency Operating Base Delta, Iraq.
During the week, 18 Soldiers from ‘Saber’ Squadron chose to extend their commitment to serve in the United States Army. One non-commissioned officer chose to commit to serve indefinitely, which means that he will stay in the Army until he has served at least 20 total years.
This was the last chance for the ‘Saber’ soldiers to re-enlist while they are deployed to Iraq.
