KABUL, Afghanistan — A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained numerous suspected insurgents during an operation in search of a Taliban facilitator in Khugyani district, Nangarhar province, yesterday.
The facilitator provides weapons, ammunition, and roadside bombs to insurgents in Nangarhar province.
Multiple weapons were confiscated during the operation.

A combined Afghan and coalition security force captured a Haqqani network leader and detained multiple additional suspected insurgents during an operation in Nadir Shah Kot district, Khost province, yesterday. The leader was responsible for coordinating attacks against Afghan forces.
In Pul-e ‘Alam district, Logar province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained multiple suspected insurgents during an operation in search of a Haqqani network leader yesterday. The leader directs attacks and distributes weapons throughout the area for use against Afghan and coalition forces.
Finally, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained multiple suspected insurgents during an operation to disrupt an insurgent network in Gelan district, Ghazni province, yesterday. The network is responsible for multiple attacks and ambushes against Afghan and coalition forces.
