BAGRAM, Afghanistan – Afghan and coalition forces captured 10 in eastern Afghanistan during operations throughout the past 24 hours, April 8.
Paktiya province
Afghan National Army soldiers and coalition forces detained three individuals whose shop was found with 4,700 pounds of materials used in improvised explosive devises in Zarmat district.
Ghazni province
ANA soldiers detained a suspect in Qarah Bagh district and they’re confirming whether he is a suspected IED emplacer.
Laghman province
Afghan National Police, ANA and coalition forces received small arms fire in Mehtar Lam district leading to the capture of two detainees. The detainees are currently in ANA custody.
ANA detained two individuals in Alishing district who were in the vicinity of an IED that struck an ANA vehicle.
Afghan Uniform Police and ANA detained two suspects who were under the possession of anti-tank mines in Alingar dstrict.
Operations in RC-East are still ongoing.
