KABUL, Afghanistan – The International Security Assistance Force strongly condemns the explosion here today that killed one Afghan civilian and injured more than a dozen others.

"Like many of the insurgents' attacks, this morning's explosion in Kabul served only to kill and injure innocent Afghan civilians," said Gen. John R. Allen, the ISAF commander. "I condemn this act, and all indiscriminate insurgent attacks that harm Afghan civilians."

"I offer condolences to the family and friends of those killed and injured in Kabul this morning. I also extend my continued thanks and admiration to the Afghan National Security Forces, who immediately secured the scene and rendered assistance to the innocent civilians harmed in this attack. The ISAF community of nations stands with these brave protectors of the Afghan people."
