Marines with III Marine Expeditionary Force secure a palette of bottled water to be transported to Atsugi, Japan in support of Operation Tomodachi at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, March 16. More than 140 cases of bottled water will be delivered to Marines in mainland Japan. Marines and sailors from III MEF are actively providing support for foreign humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in mainland Japan. The name Tomodachi, which means “friends” in Japanese, was chosen by the government of Japan.
