Many residents of Minot and the surrounding communities began to feel the effects of the flood here, June 22. By noon, the river crested over the levees and the warning sirens sounded requiring the immediate evacuation of more than 11,000 Minot residents. On June 27, Mouse River pressures and heights will reach unprecedented levels--seven to ten feet higher than the all time record with pressures reaching approximately 16,000 cubic feet per second.
