Air and Marine Operations’ Tucson Air Branch responded to a request to rescue an illegal entrant in the Baboquivari Peak Wilderness near Tucson, Arizona on March 30, 2021.
The air crew, aboard a hoist capable UH-60 Black Hawk, located the man who was suffering from a severe broken leg.
The man started a signal fire that spread to over an acre due to the strong winds.
Agents successfully extracted the man using a hoist. The subject was airlifted and turned over to the Three Points Fire Department for further treatment.
