Sam McQuaid, assigned to Charlie Troop (Long Range Surveillance) 1-158 Cavalry, Hagerstown, Md., patrols while on a reconnaissance mission to gather intelligence on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's amphibious landing at Freshwater Bay, Australia, as part of the force-on-force training during Talisman Sabre 2011.
