[10] Combat action in Ghazni province
U.S. Army 1st Lt. Marcus Ruzek's platoon was pinned down. They were outmanned, under heavy fire and cutoff. Ruzek and his 13 men had been fighting up to 70 Taliban for eight hours. They were unable to move and fighting from a poorly defendable position. All they could do was hunker down. It was his darkest hour. (02/26/10)

The 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Protective Service Detachment worked hand in hand with the U.S. Marine Corps Feb. 12 at the start of a four-day mission escorting 122 vehicles and nearly 300 Afghan National Army soldiers half way to their new command at Forward Operating Base Deleram in western Helmand Province. [9] Third Army using many routes to get supplies to Afghanistan Third Army is moving thousands of tons of much needed supplies in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the help of many partner nations. Moving supplies through the so called Northern Distribution Network has proven to be increasingly successful in getting required equipment to troops in Afghanistan. Since March, 7,800 containers have been delivered via these routes with 5,500 more containers currently being transported in part through northeastern Europe to Afghanistan. (02/24/10)

[3] AIr Mobile Training 22 Iraqis took part in AIr Mobile training at JSS India in northern Iraq. 1st Lt. Andrew Higgins was the officer in charge in charge of the training. He comments on the training, and how well the Iraqis did. The class was taught by the Scout Platoon of 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry, out of Fort Bliss, Texas.
[3] Staff Sgt. McLaurine comments on air mobile training with Iraqis at JSS Ind Staff Sgt. Jeremiah McLaurine is the senior scout for the 1-36 Infantry Scout Platoon, from Fort Bliss Texas. He served as the NCOIC for the 5-day air mobile training course at JSS India, which trained 22 Iraqis on air mobile operations. the class culminated with rides in U.S. UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, where the Iraqis were able to apply what they learned. McLaurine comments on the training aspects of the class and traiing the Iraqis.
