The New Zealand Navy’s Operational Dive Team conducted a mine countermeasure exercise, one of the many amphibious exercises taking place in Dawn Blitz 2013. The team’s mission is to find underwater mines outside ports in times of conflict. This is New Zealand’s first involvement with Dawn Blitz, a multinational amphibious exercise that promotes interoperability between the Navy and Marine Corps and enhances coalition partnerships, June 11-28. Participating countries include Canada, Japan, New Zealand and military observers from seven countries. Available in High Definition.
