Every year, Armor Week highlights the importance of Armor troopers mastering the fundamentals and leveraging mounted warfare skills to claim the trophy and title of best crew. This year’s Armor Week consists of the Sullivan Cup, a biennial competition named in honor of Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, an Armor officer for 36 years who culminated his service as the 32nd U.S. Army Chief of Staff. Competitors from across the Armor community, in the U.S. Army and international partners, compete in Armor Week’s Sullivan Cup at Fort Moore. The competition rigorously tests and evaluates the best Abrams tank and Bradley Fighting Vehicle crews.
