This edition features a discussion with Dr. Linton Wells II, distinguished research professor and Force Transformation Chair at the National Defense University, about TIDES, an international research project focused on sustainable support to stressed populations in post-war, post-disaster, impoverished environments. TIDES is unique in that it draws on a world-wide network of public-private, whole-of-government and trans-national talent to promote integrated planning and unity of action where there's no unity of command. Areas of focus include low-cost logistics, information sharing, social network development and trust-building. TIDES is being coordinated out of the Center for Technology and National Security Policy at the National Defense University.
