The 1st Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division's Anbar Operations Command Stability-Transition Team is partnering with Al Anbar province's Iraqi security forces command center. Army Pfc. Jessica Cooke tells us how these partnered forces are taking steps to make the Iraqi security forces self-sufficient. First Bde. of the 82nd Airborne Div. is the first fully-functional "Advise and Assist" brigade in Al Anbar province. The unit is complemented with 16 additional field-grade officers embedded with ISF at the Provincial Government Center, the Department of Border Enforcement, and the AOC. The AAB is expected to return to Fort Bragg, N.C., at the end of summer.
