Gottenberg is a U-2 pilot who has flown his combat missions supporting operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. Gottenberg is deployed from Beale Air Force Base, Calif., and his hometown is Rocklin, Calif.
