When congress cut the funding for the EF-111 program back in the 90’s, the Navy agreed to take over some of the Air Force’s Electronic Warfare missions. In exchange the Navy received some Air Force Funding and Manpower. Tech. Sgt. Joseph Derr introduces us to one of the few Airmen in Iraq flying with Navy. Tag: The Navy is retiring the EA-6B prowlers and replacing them with the new F-18 based EA-18 Growler and the Air Force is going to continue sending Electronic Warfare Officers to the Navy squadrons.
