As coalition forces prepare to draw down in Afghanistan, Combined Team Uruzgan is hard at work mentoring Afghan National Security Forces for the task of providing security for the local population. Throughout the process, an ongoing risk has been the danger of improvised explosive devices and unexploded ordnance. Cpl. Nate Carberry tells us how Australian explosive ordnance disposal technicians and American Special Forces are aiding Afghan personnel in mitigating explosive threats.
