Eugene Cook, 87, of Georgia, jumped into Normandy, June 6, 1944, with the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Dropped far from his objective, he met other troops and they attacked the enemy in a nearby village. He took part in the 68th anniversary events and shared some of his story.
