Yves Tariel, 74, was just 7 years old when U.S. Army Air Corps bombs destroyed his town, Lisiieux, France, on the evening of June 6, 1944, to help Allied troops fight the German 12th SS Panzer Division. Tariel tells who he later met one of the pilots on that bombing run and found a C-47 Sky Train for the museum at Sainte-Mère-Eglise.
