Just how does one increase the overall fitness and readiness of the Navy and
Marine Corps forces? Today, Cmdr. Denise Gechas, Director of Population Health, Navy and Marine
Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC), participated in a DoDLive Bloggers
Roundtable to answer the above question. Gechas discussed the the launch of the NMCPHC Health Promotion and Wellness
campaign. The campaign seeks to inform sailors, Marines and other
beneficiaries of available health promotion and prevention services, in an effort to facilitate readiness and resilience, prevent illness and injury,
hasten recovery, and promote lifelong healthy behaviors and lifestyles. The
roundtable will take place immediately following the official campaign
launch event in Norfolk, Va.
