If you’ve ever served on a Navy ship, you probably know what you have to do during a fire…whether you’re a nozzleman, phone-talker, or repair party. It’s all spelled out in a highly-detailed plan. While your home probably doesn’t need a flying squad and an on-scene leader, CNFJ Fire Department is stressing the importance of making sure your family knows what to do if the smoke alarm goes off. Petty Officer Scott Bourque takes us to Sasebo Elementary School and shows us what children are learning during Fire Safety Week 2012. Soundbites include Moses Gibbs, Fire Chief - CFAS Fire Department and Chisato Suzuyama-Kelly - Chief Fire Prevention Inspector. Produced by Petty Officer 3rd Class Scott Bourque.
