Lance Cpl. Phillip Clonch is a combat engineer with Company A, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Clonch, a native of Daytona Beach, Fla., is currently working to clear debris from walkways and public spaces in Breezy Point, N.Y. in order to help residents return to normalcy following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
