As the old cliché goes, “nothing brings people together like music.” This proved true in the case of the friendship concert in Sasebo, Japan. The event was put on by the Kyushu Defense Bureau, who invited both Japanese and American bands to perform. Petty Officer Houston Waters was in the audience and tells us about a taiko drum group that reflects the spirit of the event.
