Marines and Sailors of Combat Logistics Battalion 31 and Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (Reinforced), both of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, execute a non-combatant evacuation operation and transportation of Japanese nationals overseas exercise alongside soldiers of the Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, and Malaysian militaries as part of exercise Cobra Gold 2013. The multinational force processed simulated evacuees through multiple security and processing stations before evacuating them on CH-46E Sea Knight and CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters to the USS Bonhomme Richard, at sea.
