The Marines of the Maintenance section of Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, are able to repair and maintain the entire fleet of ground vehicles used during Exercise Koolendong 13. From adding oil to a forklift to completely replacing a High Mobility, Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle engine, the Marine mechanics possess the skills and parts to keep the unit rolling while forward-deployed, without significant external support. While the majority of time is spent on vehicle maintenance, their expertise is not limited to vehicles. Artillery cannons, floodlights, weapon optics, and much more is within their abilities of repair.
