SEATTLE, Wash. (June 7, 2007)--The US Coast Guard Cutter Polar Sea spent several months in the cold waters of Antarctica as part of Operation Deep Freeze 2007. The crew worked hard to break the ice and create a navigable channel for supply ships to reach McMurdo, Antarctica.
