BOSTON - Coast Guard crews are looking to the public today to help determine the source of several probable hoax distress calls that have been received in Maine and Massachusetts over the past couple weeks. Hoax distress calls placed to the Coast Guard are classified as a felony punishable by up to six years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
