BOSTON - The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 48-year-old fisherman from commercial fishing vessel approximately 90 miles southeast of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Sept. 19, 2011. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Northern New England received a call at approximately 8 a.m. via marine-band VHF channel 16 from the 44-foot fishing vessel Rachel T, homeported in Portland, Maine, reporting that the vessel's captain was suffering from severe abdominal pain and vomiting.
