    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

Marines with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a point man reaction course in the Okinawan jungle. The unit went through the course in three or four-man fire teams, engaging paper silhouette targets while traversing the muddy, steep terrain. The training focused on communication and negotiating the thick jungle vegetation in order to neutralize enemy targets before getting too close.
