In this week’s Deck Watch, the Coast Guard conducted three medevacs, responded to three overdue mariners and a capsized vessel near Prince William Sound, Alaska, and Coast Guard Cutter Alex Haley assisted a disabled skiff near Nome. A 25-foot Response Boat-Small and crew from Coast Guard Station Valdez and Coast Guard Sector Anchorage enforcement department personnel have been conducting boardings and offering free voluntary safety vessel examinations in support of Arctic Shield 2014.
