Winn Mete, writer and producer of Base Alpha Kilo, interviews Sgt. Balinda O’Neal, Alaska Army National Guard’s 134th Public Affairs Detachment, about her experience during exercise Khaan Quest 2015. Khaan Quest is an annual multinational peacekeeping exercise co-sponsored by the U.S. Army Pacific and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, and hosted annually by the Mongolia Armed Forces. The training exercise designed to enhance international interoperability and military readiness, develop peace keeping capabilities and build military-to-military relations between the U.S., Mongolia and other international forces in the Pacific region. Approximately 1,200 participants from 25 countries across the Pacific region are slated to participate in the exercise from June 10 to July 1 at the Mongolian Armed Forces Peace Support Center near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
